Agree package quantities, identification, protection and inspection records before dispatch so the shipment can be checked against the approved order.

What should be agreed before packing?
Agree the packing format, quantity per package, identification and handling requirements before dispatch. For an order with several hose sizes or connection types, specify how each item will be distinguished at receiving. Include whether the hose is supplied bare or coupled, and whether accessories are packed with it or separately. These instructions belong with the approved product specification, so the packing team and buyer are working from the same item list.
Match the package to the delivered product
Reliant Fire supports carton or woven-bag packing for hose orders, with custom marking discussed for the selected configuration. Ask for the proposed package dimensions and quantities rather than estimating them from a photograph of another order. Where pallets, protective wrapping or other arrangements are needed, confirm the scope and cost in the quotation. An assembled product may need a different arrangement from loose components. Final protection and handling details should follow the agreed shipment requirements.

Make the shipment identifiable at receiving
Use consistent item references on the order, package marks and packing list. Agree how mixed sizes will be grouped and how packages will be numbered where needed. The International Trade Administration describes the packing list as a document identifying shipment contents and package details; it does not replace the commercial invoice. Ask the forwarder and importer which documents and fields are required for the route. Do not treat a generic document checklist as a destination-specific clearance decision.
Define the pre-shipment review
Specify which checks and records you want before shipment: item identity, quantity, dimensions, visible condition, marking, packing and any agreed tests. Keep performance tests separate from photographs of a finished batch. Reliant Fire can arrange factory inspection, with the timing and scope confirmed for the order. Agree who reviews the results, how discrepancies are recorded and which items need resolution before dispatch. Do not infer an inspection result from a workshop photograph or a general factory statement.
Keep approval and delivery records together
Before release, compare the approved item list with the packing record and review any agreed photographs or inspection results. Confirm the destination, consignee details and delivery arrangement with the responsible parties. Keep a record of accepted changes so later receiving checks refer to the delivered configuration. For a repeat shipment, review the packing again if hose length, coupling type or package quantity changes. Send Reliant Fire your product list, quantity, packing preference and destination to begin an order-specific packing discussion.

Frequently asked questions
Can different hose sizes be packed in one shipment?
Mixed orders can be discussed. List the quantities separately and agree how the sizes and packages will be identified.
Is pallet packing included automatically?
Do not assume it is included. State the required arrangement and confirm the packing scope and cost in the quotation.
Can a packing photograph replace an inspection?
No. A photograph documents visible details only. Agree the inspection scope and any tests separately.
Does a packing list replace the invoice?
No. They serve different purposes. Review both documents and confirm route-specific requirements with the importer or forwarder.
Can I arrange a factory inspection?
Yes, Reliant Fire can arrange factory inspection. Confirm the timing, scope and required records for your order in advance.
What changes should trigger a new packing review?
Recheck packing when product size, length, connections, package quantity or handling requirements change. Use the latest approved item list.
